Irresistible Chocolate Tahini Cake – No Sugar, No Dairy, Pure Bliss!
f you’re looking for a rich, moist, and utterly delicious chocolate cake without refined sugar or dairy, this Chocolate Tahini Cake is the perfect treat! It’s naturally sweetened, full of flavor, and pairs beautifully with a cup of coffee or tea. Plus, it’s incredibly easy to make—just mix, bake, and enjoy!
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the date puree, tahini, fresh orange juice, and orange zest until fully combined.
Gradually add the flour and cocoa powder, stirring until smooth.
Toss the chocolate chips with a little flour (to prevent sinking) and fold them into the batter.
Grease and lightly flour a cake pan, then pour in the batter.
Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
Let the cake cool for 10 minutes, then remove it from the pan.
Topping:
Melt the chocolate with the coconut or avocado oil using a double boiler (bain-marie). Once the cake is completely cool, drizzle the melted chocolate over the top and sprinkle with chopped nuts for an extra crunch.
Bonus Tip:
For an even richer flavor, swap the orange juice for room-temperature brewed coffee or espresso (decaf if you prefer caffeine-free). This will enhance the deep chocolate taste and take your cake to the next level!
