About me

Hello, I am Theodora,

The first time I held a real camera was in 2008, while pursuing a master’s degree in Fine Arts. That moment sparked the creation of my first stop-motion video, Element Addiction, which won 1st prize at the Public Digital Film Festival the same year. From there, my journey in visual storytelling began. I went on to create more videos—some featured in theatrical performances and shows—while also taking courses in directing and film history. I exhibited my art in various galleries across Greece before relocating to New York in 2018.

A new chapter began when I moved to the U.S. What started as a pandemic hobby—photographing and filming food—quickly turned into a deep creative passion. I began to see food as a form of art. The desire to improve led me to study, practice, invest in better equipment, and refine my editing skills. One step led to another, and before I knew it, I had built a portfolio, developed my own style, and launched an Instagram page, a YouTube channel, and Blog dedicated to food photography and videography.

My passion for the arts has been present since an early age. In addition to my work as a food photographer and videographer, I hold a degree in Interior and Industrial Design. I’ve worked as a designer for several companies and continue to practice as a freelancer through my design studio,  Tsilikodesign.com

I’m driven by the challenge of creating visuals that are fresh, engaging, and sensorially rich. My design background gives me a unique edge—balancing contemporary trends with a personal touch that makes my work both current and distinctive.

Shortlisted - Pink Lady Food Photographer of the year, 2024

I am over the top with this achievement of mine. Such a little experience and I managed to participate in the competition with my picture of Swan white chocolate cake and get shortlisted for its category Tiptree Cake Awardl Wow! What an honor!

2nd Prize - photography competition "Circles of Life", 2023

This picture won the 2nd price at the photography competition "Circles of Life", August's night at Methoni, Pieria, Greece 2023. It's so honorable for your work to be recognised by your people and being exhibited in your mother country.

Proud of

1st prize - Public digital film festival, 2008

This is how everything started for me. I made a this video to express my ideas and feelings, practicing the technique of the stop motion. With very little editing skills I managed to put this video together.  I participated in the Public film festival and got 1st place. Totally unexpected price but because of this I started my journey with my camera.

Work with me

The pre-shooting

This is a really important stage that will lead us to create the best pictures and videos and promote your business goals. In this stage we are going to talk about your vision and create together the mood board, or storyboard of the project. In this stage we are going to talk about all the details (shipping products, right props and tools)  that are needed for a successful shoot day.

The shooting:

This is the most fun stage of the process! You can be attending the shooting in person or remotely. By using the tethering technique you can watch real time the whole process of shooting and all the captures that you pictured coming true.

The post-shooting:

This stage includes the editing of the final products (images or video or both) and the delivery. The delivery is taking place through We transfer or similar way. I always keep a backup.

Fun facts

  • Favorite food to shoot  – cupcakes. Favorite drink to shoot – coffee.
  • First time I ate in a high end restaurant I felt the desire to learn to cook like a chef.
  • I have participated as “people” in Greek production movies, just in order to be around and see how they are doing it.
  • You might see my hands in my pictures a lot. Did you know that  I used to be a hand model?
  • As an interior designer I have designed lots of cafes, bakeries, super markets etc. First time I visited the USA I happened to go shopping in Supermarket that felt familiar even though I had never visited the USA before. The reason is that it was a design of mine from the past.

  • Last but It might shock you is that… I don’t think I have a favorite food. I like lots of different food but I can’t pick one as a favorite.
