Chocolate Pear Cake

A chocolate pear cake is really what I was craving for today! What about you? I think it is the best treat for yourself after a hard day at work or just because. It’s also a good cake to try with your little ones. My daughter loves it! She loves to stir especially and try the dough. Let’s see how to bake it easily and quickly!

Ingredients:

  • 3 whole Pears
  • 3 eggs (room temperature)
  • 7/8 cup (175 gr) soft butter in cubes ((room temperature)
  • 3/4 cup (150gr) sugar
  • 2/4 cup (100gr) Greek Yogurt
  • 1/4 cup (80gr) cocoa powder
  • 1 1/4 cups (175 gr) self rising flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • a pinch of salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla sence
  • 1/4 cup (45 grams) chocolate chips (dark chocolate)


The recipe step by step:

  1. Preheat the oven to 355 F (180 C). Butter and flour to your cake pan to be ready.
  2. In a large bowl whisk the flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt.
  3. In another large bowl beat on medium speed the butter with the sugar and add the eggs one by one. Then add the vanilla, the Greek Yogurt and beat to combine until light and fluffy, approximately 5 minutes. Continuously add the dry ingredients to your bowl and beat to combine. Lastly add the chocolate chips and softly mix with your mixture.
  4. Pour into the prepared pan that you first had pleased with the whole pears in the middle. (Pour the mixture around the pears). Sprinkle some more chocolate chips on top.
  5. Bake in your preheated oven for approximately 45 minutes or until a knife comes out clean. Let it cool a bit before serving. Enjoy! 😁
